Course overview
The RYA’s interactive safeguarding course. An essential prerequisite for all RYA Instructor courses and useful for anyone working or volunteering with young people or vulnerable adults in a watersports environment.
What you’ll learn
- An introduction to safeguarding and child protection
- Understand good safeguarding practice
- How to recognise potential signs of abuse
- How to deal with signs of abuse
- Who to refer any concerns to
- Working with children and/or vulnerable adults
Prerequisites
- None: Required before attending any RYA Instructor course.
- Minimum age: 16

RYA Safe & Fun Safeguarding certificate.
