Event Date:

Event Description

Qualify to teach powerboating

This 3-day course covers the theory and practical elements of teaching

Course overview

RYA Powerboat Instructors are able to teach powerboating to the level of which they are trained (i.e. if you hold an RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate you will only be able to teach up to RYA Powerboat Level 2). It is a 3-day course and covers everything from demonstrating powerboat driving skills to delivering RYA theory. During the course our RYA Powerboat Trainers will spend time looking at teaching theory and how to deliver an RYA Powerboat Course to an acceptable level. Our two RYA recognised powerboat centres in the heart of the city and in Portishead Marina are perfect for practicing demonstration skills, whilst our access to the Bristol Channel and River Avon gives trainee RYA Powerboat Instructors the perfect opportunity to practice their instructional techniques.
