RLSS UK DEFRA Module 3 Specialism

Event Date:

September 6, 2027

Event Description

Two-day course for those looking to deliver and assess RLSS UK Water Safety Module 3: Water and Flood Rescue Technician.

Course overview

Module 3 is the highest level of DEFRA-aligned water safety training offered by RLSS UK, and delivering it brings a different level of responsibility. Candidates are training to carry out rescues in moving water and flood conditions, so the trainer needs to manage risk closely while building candidates’ skills and confidence.

This specialism is for experienced Water Safety Trainer Assessors who already deliver Modules 1 and 2. Over two days, you will work through the Module 3 content and assessment criteria, plan practical sessions in moving water, and assess candidates against RLSS UK standards.
