Course overview
Enrolling in the RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory course represents a pivotal step towards becoming a proficient skipper, capable of confidently managing your boat on extended voyages. This course places a strong emphasis on electronic position finding equipment, taking and interpreting forecasts, plotting weather systems, and weather predictions using a barometer under both sail and power.
Course duration: 40 hours evening classes or 2½ weekend intensive

What you’ll achieve
RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory certificate. Successful candidates will be able to safely plan day and night passages including offshore and inshore navigation.
